How we review forex brokers

This site scores process quality, not influencer screenshots. We refuse universal “#1 broker” claims because fit depends on country, account type, and risk rules.

Short answer

We review brokers across five gates: licence fit, all-in cost, execution incentives, withdrawals, and risk honesty. Fail the licence gate and the rest does not matter.

The five gates

Detailed explanation

  1. Licence fit — Can you legally access a named entity that appears on a public register for your residency?
  2. All-in cost — Spread + commission + overnight financing on the pairs you actually trade.
  3. Execution incentives — A-book, B-book, or hybrid conflicts, described plainly.
  4. Withdrawals — Small live test before scaling deposits.
  5. Risk honesty — Published retail risk-warning percentage and product risk copy.

Example

Broker A wins on raw spreads but only offers an offshore entity for your country. Under this method, Broker A fails gate 1. Broker B with slightly wider spreads and a matching regulated entity advances.

Common mistake

Treating a marketing “from 0.0 pip” line as a full cost review. Without account type, session, and commission, the number is incomplete.

Professional tip

Keep a one-page fact sheet per broker: entity name, register URL, account type, sample spread time, commission, and max risk per trade. Update it after any Terms change.

What we will not do

For incentive models after the gates, a clear walkthrough of how brokers earn on A-book vs B-book flow is useful background reading.
